What is sequencing?

Every program is a list of instructions that the computer follows in order, from top to bottom. That idea is called sequencing, and it is the first thing every coder learns. A computer never guesses what you meant. It does exactly what you wrote, in exactly the order you wrote it.

In the Hawker Centre, your robot works at a chicken rice stall. Snap arrow blocks together to walk it to the right table, pick up a tray at the stall and serve it. If a step is in the wrong order, like serving before picking up, the robot can't do it, and you get to find the bug and fix it.

Watch out for the uncle pushing the trolley of dirty plates. He walks the same route every time, so a careful plan can always get past him. Planning a path step by step and checking it by running it is exactly how programmers work.
