// the difference

Understanding, Not Copying

Most coding classes hand kids a tutorial to follow. We teach them how code actually works — then let them build with it.

Most coding classes

  • Follow the tutorial, step by step
  • Copy the code without knowing why
  • Forget it all by next week

DotCode

  • Understand the building blocks — variables, loops, functions, logic
  • Stack them up, concept upon concept
  • Build real games, websites & AI apps they actually keep

// why dotcode

Built Different, On Purpose

We built the school we wish existed when we were learning.

Small Classes. Seriously Small.

Maximum 12 students per batch so every child gets individual attention and never falls behind. When the class fills up — that's it.

Live, Not Pre-Recorded

Every class is taught live. Kids ask questions, get unstuck in the moment, and code along with their instructor.

Hands-On Projects

Every module ends with a real project your child can show friends and add to their portfolio.

Expert Instructors

Learn from practitioners with 5+ years of industry experience who know how to teach kids.

Demo Days

Every course ends with a demo day where students present what they built — published games, live websites, real programs.

// from the founder

Concepts Upon Concepts

I started DotCode because I believe kids learn to code the same way real software actually gets built — concepts upon concepts. We master the small building blocks first — a variable, a loop, a function — then stack bigger ideas on top. When the foundations are solid, the hard stuff stops feeling hard, and kids build things they're genuinely proud of.

Every lesson here is one I designed and teach myself — not a franchise script. It's the school I wish I'd had when I was learning.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything parents ask before booking a coding class.

What age can my child start coding classes?

Our coding classes are designed for kids and teens aged 7 to 17. Younger students (7–12) start with visual, game-based courses like Roblox, while older students (12–17) build games with Construct 3 or move into Python, web development, and AI.

Do you offer Roblox coding classes for kids?

Yes — Roblox is our flagship course. Kids aged 7–12 learn to build and publish real games in Roblox Studio using Luau scripting, picking up variables, events, functions, and loops along the way.

Are the classes online or in person?

Both — we offer live online classes and in-person sessions, so you can pick whatever suits your family. Either way, every class is taught in real time by an instructor, never pre-recorded.

How big are the classes?

Every class is capped at 12 students, so each child gets individual attention and never falls behind.

Does my child need any experience or special equipment?

No prior experience is needed for our beginner courses. Students just need a computer and a stable internet connection — we teach with free, professional tools like Roblox Studio, Construct 3, and VS Code.

How do we get started?

Book a free 45-minute trial class — no commitment and no credit card required. Your child builds something real in their very first session, and we help you pick the right course.
