About This Course
Roblox isn't just a game — it's a full game-creation platform used by millions of young developers. In our Roblox coding classes for kids, your child goes from playing games to building them using Roblox Studio, the same free tool professional Roblox creators use.
Starting with 3D world building and moving into real programming with Luau (Roblox's scripting language), students design, script, and publish their own playable game by the end of the course — one they can share with friends and family with a single link.
Classes run live in small groups of up to 6 — online, or in person at our Jurong East studio at Blk 135 Jurong Gateway Rd. No coding experience needed.

What Your Child Will Learn
Events & Game Logic
Touch a lava brick, lose a life. Step on a checkpoint, save your progress. Scripting Roblox's Touched event teaches cause and effect — the same if-then reasoning behind every programming language your child will meet later.
Variables & Leaderboards
Coins, points and lives all live in variables — and show up on the in-game leaderboard. Your child learns to store, change and display information, the concept that powers everything from games to apps.
Loops & Moving Worlds
Spinning obstacles, moving platforms, coins that keep respawning — they all run on loops. One small rule, repeated, becomes a whole behaviour. That shift is the start of thinking like a programmer.
Testing & Debugging
Scripts break — and Roblox Studio's Output window says why. Rather than giving up, your child learns to read the error, form a theory, and test the fix: the patience every builder needs.
Designing for Players
A game isn't finished when it works — it's finished when friends can play it. Students publish their games, watch classmates play, spot where players get stuck, and balance the difficulty until it's fun. Building for others is empathy in practice.

Roblox Studio is the free, professional tool behind every Roblox game — the same one used by millions of creators, some of whom build games played by millions more.
Students script their games in Luau, a real text-based programming language. It's a gentle bridge from playing to programming, and the skills carry straight into Python when they're ready.

The Learning Journey
10 lessons · 6 modules · every module ends with a working project
Welcome to Roblox Studio
Tour the Studio interface, learn to move the camera, and build with parts, materials, and colors. Every student builds their first scene in week one.
World Building
Design environments with terrain tools, models, and lighting. Students plan and build their own obby (obstacle course) level layout.
First Scripts with Luau
Write real code: variables, properties, and the Touched event. Students script kill bricks, checkpoints, and color-changing platforms.
Making Games Interactive
Functions and loops power moving platforms, collectible pickups, and traps. Students learn to read errors and debug their own scripts.
Scoring & Leaderboards
Add leaderstats, win conditions, and a proper game loop so players can compete. Students balance difficulty to keep their game fun.
Polish & Publish
Add sounds, on-screen UI, and a game icon, then publish to the Roblox platform. The course ends with a demo day where every student presents their game.

Roblox Game Dev: FAQ
Is Roblox coding real coding?
Yes. In Roblox Studio, kids write scripts in Luau, a real text-based programming language. They use the same core ideas as any other language — variables, events, functions and loops — so the skills carry straight into Python and beyond.
What age is Roblox coding suitable for?
Our Roblox coding classes are for kids aged 7–12, and complete beginners are welcome. Teens aged 12–17 who love games usually join our game development course with Construct 3, or move into Python.
Does Roblox use Lua or Luau?
Roblox uses Luau, its own scripting language based on Lua. It's fast and beginner-friendly, and students who learn Luau will recognise standard Lua too.
Does my child need Roblox experience?
No. No coding experience is needed, and your child doesn't need to be a Roblox expert. If they already play Roblox, that's a bonus — kids are usually excited to build for a game they know.
Can my child publish their Roblox game?
Yes. In the final module students add sounds, on-screen UI and a game icon, then publish their game to Roblox so friends and family can play it from a single link. The course ends with a demo day where every student presents their game.
Where are Roblox coding classes held in Singapore?
In person at our Jurong East studio, Blk 135 Jurong Gateway Rd, #04-329 — a short walk from Jurong East MRT — or live online from anywhere in Singapore. Every class is capped at 6 students.
Is there a holiday camp for Roblox Game Dev?
