DotCode Campus (UEN 202626670C) ("DotCode Campus", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal data in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 ("PDPA").
1. Personal Data We Collect
We collect personal data that you provide when you enquire, book a trial, register or enrol, including:
- Parent or guardian details: name, email address, mobile number, and the same details for any additional parent or guardian you list
- Student details: name, date of birth, school, the student's own mobile number and email address (if provided), and coding experience
- Address details: home address and country
- Other information: how you heard about us, and any other details you choose to share with us
- Payment information: for card payments, processed by Stripe (see section 4); for PayNow or bank transfer, the payer name and transaction reference shown by your bank
- Photos and videos taken during lessons and events (see section 5)
Student details are provided by the parent or guardian, who consents to their collection and use on the student's behalf.
2. How We Use Personal Data
We use personal data to:
- process registrations, enrolments and payments
- place students in suitable classes based on age and experience
- schedule lessons and make-ups, and communicate class updates
- send receipts, confirmations and important notices
- track student progress and improve our Programmes
- understand how families find us, so we can improve our outreach
- respond to enquiries and requests
- send news about our Programmes, where you have agreed to receive them (you can opt out at any time)
3. Disclosure of Personal Data
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run our business, such as:
- Stripe, for card payments
- email, messaging and video-conferencing providers, for communication and online lessons
- website hosting and database providers
These providers may store data outside Singapore. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure the data is protected to a standard comparable to the PDPA.
We may also disclose personal data where required by law.
4. Payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never received or stored by DotCode Campus. Stripe's privacy policy is available at https://stripe.com/privacy.
For PayNow or bank transfer payments, we only receive the information your bank shows us, such as the payer name, amount and transaction reference.
5. Photos and Videos
We may take photos and videos of students during lessons and events, and may use them on our website, social media and marketing materials, unless you tell us not to. You can tell us at any time not to use your child's photos or videos, or ask us to remove a specific one, by contacting us using the details below.
6. Cookies and Browser Storage
Our website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. We use:
- a cookie that is strictly necessary to keep administrators logged in to our system; and
- your browser's local storage to save progress in games and activities on our website, such as the Robot Maze. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us.
7. Data Protection and Retention
We take reasonable security measures to protect personal data from unauthorised access, use or disclosure.
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required for legal, accounting or business purposes. After that, it is deleted or anonymised.
8. Your Rights
You may request to:
- access the personal data we hold about you or your child
- correct inaccurate data
- withdraw consent for its use, including marketing messages and the use of your child's photos and videos
Please contact our Data Protection Officer using the details below. We will respond within 30 days. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide some services.
9. Families Outside Singapore
We welcome students from outside Singapore. If you live in a country with its own data protection laws (for example, the EU or UK), you may have additional rights under those laws, such as the right to request deletion of your data. We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on our website.
